Below is a brief list of just some resources for the theatre community – please let us know if there are any resources you think should be added. Thank you to these organizations who are doing such important work!


Anti-Racism, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Broadway Advocacy Coalition (BAC) – organization that unites artists, experts, students, and community leaders to use storytelling and artistry to combat systematic racism

Black Theatre Coalition (BTC) – organization working to dismantle the systemically racist and biased ideology in the theatrical job space

Black Theatre United (BTU) – Black theatre community members united to educate, empower, and inspire through excellence and activism in the pursuit of justice and equality

We See You White American Theatre – collective of multi-generational, multi-disciplinary, early career, emerging and established artists, theater managers, executives, students, administrators, dramaturges and producers, working to address the scope and pervasiveness of anti-Blackness and racism in the American theater

Guide to Indigenous Land Acknowledgement & Territory Mapping – resources to learn about the importance of land acknowledgement and learning whose land you are on

Asian-American Arts Alliance – organization dedicated to ensuring greater representation, equity, and opportunities for Asian American artists and cultural organizations through resource sharing, promotion, and community building

National Disability Theatre – professional theatre company that creates fully accessible, world-class theatre and storytelling; changes social policy and the nation’s narrative about disability culture; and provides a guiding model in accessibility for the arts and cultural sector

Broadway ReFocused – an educational platform that looks at Broadway’s past with a new lens to understand Broadway’s future, specifically amplifying stories of women, queers, black, indigenous and people of color in musical theatre

Ring of Keys – artist service organization that fosters community and visibility for musical theatre artists – onstage and off – who self-identify as queer women, transgender, and gender non-conforming artists

Broadway Women’s Alliance (BWA) – peer-to-peer networking and programming organization for female professionals on the business side of Broadway

SheNYC – organization that supports and showcases the talents of writers, composers, producers, directors, and other theater artists who are part of a marginalized gender group, including cis women, trans, and non-binary people


Mental Health & Wellness

Behind-the-Scenes – initiative to provide easily accessible  information, tools and resources to members of the entertainment industry 

Entertainment Community Fund – (f/k/a The Actors’ Fund) organization that provides human services for people in all facets of the entertainment industry (incl. health and wellness, career and life, and housing services)
